The tragedy is over and the Now the body count has begun ..
The political response has been typical ... thankfully ....
Thankfully because it has made the citizenry angry and
made the politicians edgy ... If they had responded well,
then the citizens might still not have woken up to their
game plan ....
The media did one good thing during this tragedy and that was
to black out all political posturing ...none of them got any coverage
until after the carnage was overcome ....
Hats off to the Marcoes and the Black Cat commandoes
who charged into the face of death to save their civilian
counterparts .... Blessed indeed they are in that where
we at times may have doubts about whether we are doing the
right thing or not, they have NONE ....
Writing this article at a time like this becomes all the more
necessary, if for nothing than to prove to the terrorists that
the normal flow of Life that they sought to destroy is
still intact ... In fact that is the best way to send a strong
message to all terrorists worldwide ....
NO MORE ..
NO MORE will we again rise back up and let the politicians
take us for another ride until another incident happens ...
Calls are being made for more stricter laws and shoring up
of security and greater Governmental control ...
Exactly what I had warned against after the Ahmedabad blasts ...
That the Government was deliberately letting the situation
get out of hand so that the demand for dictatorial control
came from the common Man which would allow them
to gain control of the population by doing away with personal
freedoms in the name of war against terrorism ....
just like it happened in the US after 9/11
The laws currently in place would have been sufficient had
they been implemented with integrity and sincerity ...
The need of the hour is greater proactive control emanating
from the citizen on the ground rather than the Government ...
That in the long run will ensure that a repeat of 9/11 or 26/11
does not take place again .... Anything else will only be
a stop gap arrangement for short term gains ...

I say BULL SHIT ...
India's 9/11 occurred in 1984 during operation Bluestar
when we almost lost Punjab to Khalistan ....
We just took 24 years to realise it ... which if we still refuse to do
We will have wasted another tragedy
for failing to learn the lessons in it .....
