but in my point of view that the scientist lost his life just because of pride... because of his pride he jumped out...
mmmmmm EGO some what it is important for development... i mean positive EGO... for example Intel and AMD are developing processors without an end... we can say this is an positive EGO between them which results better speed... like this we can say all leading industrialists.... sony, samsung, LG in consumer market.... on communication side nokia, sonyericsson, motorola etc... they all are doing and developing their next product or update which is competetive to their competetors... this is also some sort of EGO... and must needed for their survival in market... and we can be sure they are not pride if they would of pride with their product definately that will be their last product and lost market...
priya i m not sure i m correct or not... but i can say this is the way my mind thinks...

So while one's Knowledge and Skills takes one to the top of the ladder and makes one successful, however the three letter word "EGO" can pull one down immediately.
Let go one's Ego.
