You have to connet your laptop and desktop in network through Crosslink Cat Cable. Just share your internet in your desktop pc by right click on internet network properties > Select Advance Tab > and add checkmark "Allow Other network users......internet connection > apply ok and close it.

Make shore Before : ICS Services should be running from Services. and Network Interface Card should be properly installed in both Pcs.

And your Notebook selet automatic IP Adress by DHCP from Network Properties..

Now. you are able to access intenet from your Laptop.
